SHB Dining & Events is a Yorkshire-based catering company founded by local chef Anthony Jackson, bringing together passion, experience, and a love for exceptional food.
After over 20 years in the industry, Anthony has honed his craft in respected restaurants and five-star hotels across the UK and Europe, including Grantley Hall. His style blends modern British cuisine with subtle Mediterranean influences, supported by extensive experience in large-scale catering, conferences, and banqueting.
At the heart of SHB Dining & Events is a simple ethos: use local. We proudly champion Yorkshire suppliers, seasonal produce, and the local economy — because the very best ingredients are right here in ‘God’s Own Country’.
From Street Food to Signature Events: The journey began during lockdown as The Snaffling Hog Box, a street-food pop-up serving hand-rolled, wood-fired pizzas and relaxed, informal dishes. From these beginnings, SHB Dining & Events evolved naturally into a full-service catering company.
Today, we provide bespoke catering across Harrogate and North Yorkshire, working at some of the region’s most stunning venues, including Alexander Weddings at Lake Henry and the Yorkshire Wedding Barns.

During the summer, we are lucky enough to work with a huge amount of hardworking people and suppliers, but year-round here is the team that keeps our cogs turning day in, day out. Behind the scenes, in the kitchen, on the phones and laptops, front of house and in any way we can to make someone’s day.
